The Oughterard Heritage website was the first website that CommunitySites set up in Ireland. The site is now part of a network of websites called the Irish Heritage Network which are supported by the National Museum of Ireland – Country Life. The site was set up in 2010. It was redesigned in 2015 to include an integrated catalogue and a custom database of Irish emigrants to Canada.
