The website gathers images of Hastings Pier throughout its history to form a ‘digital archive’. The content was primarily donated by members of the general public and added by a volunteer group during the redevelopment of the Pier, trained and supported by CommunitySites.
As well as being accessible online, the archive was presented within the Visitor Centre on the Pier itself using kiosks with keyboards and trackballs. As new images were added by the volunteer group, the data was exported into a bagatelle-style game on three large format touch tables built by Dutch-based company Kiss the Frog.
