Lancashire Learning Disability Institutions is an oral history resource full of stories, memories, photographs and documents about those who lived, worked or had family members in long-stay NHS hospitals in Lancashire in North West England. Accessibility was a key element of the design and production process, and each page of the site includes a text-to-speech option. After initially being set up as part of Heritage Lottery Fund project, the site is now being run on a voluntary basis.
