"Vital to enabling our local history project to reach a wide community..."

CommunitySites have been vital to enabling our local history project to reach a wide community, with great benefits in terms of developing a dialogue with people right round the globe.

CommunitySites work with all kinds of projects that need to showcase their work and communicate interactively. They remove the need for a project to design and create its site from scratch, creating a product with a clear presentation free from the third-party adverts, clutter and garish, idiosyncratic formatting that can spoil an otherwise excellent website. Once the aims and needs of the project are agreed, its new website is quickly up and ready to use. Personal training is given and there is continuing friendly support by email and phone.

The CommunitySites system is simple to use, giving you flexibility combined with easy editing and updating on the fly. All you really need is a PC, a broadband connection and a modest level of PC experience, while the clever stuff is handled behind the scenes by CommunitySites.

The result, based on our first year’s experience, has been the rapid growth of a fascinating window on our project’s work that always has something new to offer. You can add audio and video. You can set up comment boards or post blogs if that’s what you need. It’s up to you. There is of course a cost in providing all this, but it is more than offset by the sheer convenience, quality and reliability of what CommunitySites offer.
