The John Lewis department store was opened on Oxford Street in 1864. To celebrate its 150th year, this website was set up to celebrate not only the department store on Oxford Street, but all that John Lewis now entails.
The John Lewis Memory Store site was commissioned by the Archives department at John Lewis. CommunitySites provided the software and the training. The site is now part of a network of three sites, together with the Waitrose Memory Store and the John Lewis Partnership Memory Store.
