Bottesford Living History

An award-winning community archive for a Leicestershire village

The Bottesford Living History website was launched in March 2007.  It is a contributory site, collecting history, memories and photos about the village of Bottesford in Leicestershire.  CommunitySites provided the content management system which runs the site and the initial design.  We also gave three days of training to the small team of dedicated volunteers from the village who built the site.

The Bottesford Living History project was selected as East Midlands regional winner in the Nationwide Community and Heritage Awards  2008.
