A new site for a community organisation

When the Brighton and Hove Allotments Federation were looking to create their own website, they stressed the need to be able to update and expand it themselves, easily, quickly and without needing too much technical know-how. After a demonstration from CommunitySites, they were convinced that our software would allow them to do exactly that.

Since then, we've all been busy: on the design, on the content, with a couple of training sessions to introduce everyone to the software's many features. On Friday, the new site was launched, offering information on renting a plot, sharing advice and tips, and inviting contributions, including pictures of produce and flowers, from individual allotment holders. The site really does fulfil the federation's aim of promoting allotment gardening for the citizens of Brighton and Hove.
