Sussex Rural Past

Young people exploring the heritage of rural areas

The Sussex Rural Past website is the home of projects carried out by young people exploring their heritage in rural Sussex. Our client was Action Rural Sussex and the website was funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

The first project was called Changing Estates and involved young people exploring the history of twentieth century social housing in rural areas.  A new project called Meeting Places will help young people explore the history of buildings in Battle. 

The CommunitySites website allowed the young people to add content to the site and it will house the podcasts, oral histories, maps and history trails for the new Meeting Places project in 2010.
